This is to inform our consuming public that Puerto Princesa City Water District declares Water Crisis Alert Level 3 within its service area coverage. Based on our water supply monitoring, the overall water supply production (surface and groundwater sources) has manifested a significant drop from 32,705.80 cubic meter per day last February 14-21, 2020, to 31,393.85 cubic meter per day production for the period of February 21-28, 2020. In view hereof, the PPCWD, starting March 5, 2020, Thursday, will be implementing its water rationing schedule with a 10/10 scheme within its coverage as part of the measures to be taken upon the declaration of Alert Level 3. The water rationing schedule was divided into three zones; lower areas (with water from 2:00pm to 12:00midnight), elevated areas (with water from 2:00am to 12:00noon), and along portion of Sta. Monica and Tiniguiban (with water from 5:00am to 6:00pm). Areas with schedule for water supply are supported with water inject and water deliveries.
Furthermore, a split-minimum will also be implemented on identified areas which will be posted once finalized.
