PPCWD is honored to receive two recognition awards for its humanitarian response during the devastation of Typhoon Odette in Puerto Princesa City and its neighboring municipality of Roxas, Palawan in December 2021. The awards were conferred by the City Government of Puerto Princesa and by the Local Water Utilities Administration.
The 2 awards were the 2022 Mayor’s Award for Humanitarian Response from the City Government of Puerto Princesa conferred on March 3, 2022, and the Huwarang Lingkod Tubig Award from the Local Water Utilities Administration awarded on March 22, 2022, during its World Water Day Awards.
PPCWD BOD Chairman, Atty. Winston T. Gonzales, in his acceptance message, said that the awards are for all the PPCWD personnel who selflessly risked their lives to restore the services and for everyone who worked hard despite being affected by the storm.
These accolades are also dedicated to all PPCWD consumers and partners who helped us during the restoration period. For those who are continuously supporting the District’s projects and activities, our most heartfelt gratitude.
