As a kickoff to the global celebration of World Water Day, PPCWD launched its storybook entitled “Ang Tubig at Ikaw: Ecowarrior Adventure” at Puerto Princesa Pilot Elementary School on March 18, 2024.

The activity was attended by Grade 6 science class students of PPPES and facilitated by PPCWD IEC Committee. It was also attended by PPPES Principal, Ms. Mary Hope Gabinete, who expressed her gratitude to PPCWD for holding its activity at their school, she also mentioned the essence of imparting this information to the younger generation.

Ang Tubig at Ikaw: Ecowarrior Adventure underscores the importance of water resources protection and how can we positively impact our environment, regardless of our age, gender, and social status.

The student leaders of PPPES were also selected as PPCWD’s first-ever Young Water Advocates or Ecowarriors. The Young Water Advocate program aims to train selected students to serve as an inspiration and advocate to promote awareness about water conservation and environmental protection. They will help in disseminating relevant information that aligns with PPCWD’s goals, values, mission, and vision.

The PPCWD is grateful for the active participation of the PPPES students and its faculty members.
