Spearheaded by the PPCWD Management led by General Manager Walter J. Laurel and the Chairman of the Board, Atty. Winston T. Gonzales, PPCWD successfully conducts the blessing & inauguration ceremony of their biggest project- the Water Supply Improvement Project Phase 2 at Lapu-Lapu Water Treatment Plant, Brgy. Montible.
The event was graced by Honorable Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron, Vice Mayor Nancy Socrates, President of the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) Mr. Emmanuel G. Herbosa, Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) Vice President Mr. Jose Martin S. Sangco, members of the City Council of Puerto Princesa, Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm Superintendent CSUPT. Joel R. Calvelo, Puerto Princesa Water Reclamation and Learning Center (PPWRLC) President Atty. Jeremiah Asis, USAID Safe Water Chief of Party Ms. Alma Porciuncula, Mactan Rock CEO/President Engr. Lito R. Maderazo, HG-III Construction & Development Corporation President Elmer Seguerra, former PPCWD General Manager Mr. Antonio Jesus R. Romasanta, and PPCWD Members of the Board, Ms. Melrose Ocaña Tan, Mr. Edgardo A. Palanca, and Mr. Richard B. Arambulo. The blessing of the facilities was facilitated by Rev. Fr. Eugene S. Elivera and Fr. Jose Ruel Tuale.
As GM Laurel said during his message, this Water Supply Improvement Project Phase 2 can produce an additional 30 million liters of potable water per day and is dedicated to the people of Puerto Princesa City. While Atty. Winston T. Gonzales emphasized that PPCWD will not stop making efforts in improving its services to ensure access to potable water.

The PPCWD is extremely grateful for the continuous support of the City Government of Puerto Princesa, its Stakeholders, and most especially for the support and cooperation of its more than 48,000 consumers.
