August 2, 2021- Puerto Princesa City Water District (PPCWD), Puerto Princesa Water Reclamation and Learning Center (PPWRLC), and the City Government of Puerto Princesa (CGPP) conducted a Memorandum of Agreement Signing for Septage Fee Collection Services held virtually via Zoom.
PPCWD was represented by General Manager Walter J. Laurel and BOD Chairman Atty. Winston T. Gonzales, while Atty. Jehremiah Asis and Ms. Katherine Asis represented PPWRLC, also present during the virtual ceremony is our Honorable Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron together with Atty. Arnel Pedrosa from City Administrator’s Office and Atty. Norman Yap from City Legal Office. This Septage and Sewerage Management Project is in compliance with RA 9275 or “Philippine Clean Water Act” and City Ordinance No. 737 also known as “Septage Management Program in Puerto Princesa City”.
The Puerto Princesa Water Reclamation and Learning Center will be operating the project through ieSSTP or innovative economical Septage and Sewerage Treatment Plant that is currently being constructed at PPC Baywalk, while the Puerto Princesa City Water District will be the collecting agent of the project. In accordance with City Ordinance No. 737, the monthly user fee is 2 pesos per cubic meter of water consumed.
This Septage and Sewerage Management Project is scheduled for completion this August and is set to operate by September this year.
