Puerto Princesa City Water District, in cooperation with Bgy. Council of Bgy. Kalipay and the City Government of Puerto Princesa, will construct another water system facility- the 800-cubic meter Concrete Ground Reservoir.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the said reservoir was successfully held last November 14, 2017 at Sandoval St., Bgy. Kalipay with the presence of PPCWD’s Board of Directors led by its Chairman Atty. Peter Winston T. Gonzales, together with Atty. Mary Catherine Ponce De Leon and Dir. Maylene Ballares; PPCWD Management through its General Manager Antonio Jesus Romasanta, and its Assistant General Managers, Department Managers, Division Managers and staff, the ceremony was also attended by the Councilors of Bgy. Kalipay with its Bgy. Chairman, Capt. Ruth Naguiat as represented by Kgd. Loreta Ballares. PPCWD General Manager expressed his gratitude to the residents and Bgy. Council of Bgy. Kalipay for supporting the District in the construction of this project.
The project duration of the 800-cubic meter ground reservoir has a 150-day period, and will begin on December 2017 and will be completed by May 2018, and with a contract cost of P 10, 924, 053.14. This reservoir will greatly augment the water supply in Bgy. Kalipay and its nearby areas such as Bgy. Magkakaisa, Bgy. Princesa, Bgy. Masipag, Bgy. Liwanag, and Bgy. Matiyaga.
