Puerto Princesa City Water District’s major project has started its construction period last October 2019 after the release of SEP Clearance from PCSDS in July 2019 and Joint Venture Agreement Signing between PPCWD and Bureau of Corrections during the District’s 44th Anniversary on August 5, 2019. PPCWD, Bureau of Corrections, and HG III Construction & Development Corp. are working hand in hand to ensure the continuous operation and construction of the project despite the pandemic.
This Water Supply Improvement Project Phase 2 will utilize the Lapu-Lapu and Montible Rivers located at Bgy. Iwahig and Montible. Once completed, this will provide an additional 30 million liters of water per day. Although the project is still on-going, we were able to tap a provisional water source from the said rivers to augment our water supply since April 2020, after the early completion of 900mm and 600mm transmission lines installation.
PPCWD is also in the planning stage for its future source development projects.
